![]() ![]() I also think that easier ways to communicate with other online students would be helpful although I never found a problem with the independence, it'd just be a nice feature to have. I do wish that because MDLP is an online school, they would provide more college resources or direct to other college readiness programs, as I've had nobody to remind me or walk me through anything college related. There was one course in which the lessons were setup terribly and the assignments had no diversity, but I only had this problem with that single course. I've completed 9 courses through this program in total, and the majority of them were setup very nicely and I didn't have any problems learning from them. Senior: I really enjoy this type of online school as there are no live classes and are therefore very fluid in structure. ![]() Nevertheless, iSchool has improved my work ethic and I have enjoyed my school year for the most part so far. I like how we can use our handwritten notes for our finals however, I do not like how they make us come to school to take them. This is a pain when trying to schedule a discussion-based assessment or a final. Communication with the teachers is often difficult due to the fact that some take weeks to answer emails and some do not even answer them at all. I am not a big fan of doing them because they can be stressful to prepare for and they are usually pretty awkward. There are also discussion-based assessments for each module, so there is an interactive aspect for those who want to communicate with their teachers face to face. It is nice how there are different ways we can learn, from watching a video or completing an interactive lesson. Because of this, I am graduating a year early as a junior. After the recent pandemic, CUSD decided that implementing an online option was needed for families across the community.Īs your principal at CAP/CVA, I am excited to be working with all of our amazing students and staff. The CVA learning option is the newest addition to the Coolidge Unified School District (CUSD), offering an online-based education with CUSD teachers. ![]() Students can easily come to CAP and catch up on their credits, accelerate their learning, and graduate early. The vast majority of the CAP student body is here for credit recovery, where a student has fallen behind in their high school careers and is behind on their credits to graduate. Our Coolidge Alternative Program (CAP) serves students in grades 7th-12th and the Coolidge Virtual Academy (CVA) serves students in grades 6th - 12th. Our campus proudly serves both the students and families of the Coolidge Community as well as the surrounding areas.
